After the dance
#1Name: Danu Raven Nightshade
Age: She's not going to tell you!
Height: 5'7
Weight: How dare you ask!
Location: The pussycat angels club
Specie: Half demon
Specialities: Burlesque dance acts, stealth killings
Give us a little info about your character: Danu goes by her first, middle, or last name; it
doesn't matter either way to her. She was origionally a full demon, but a curse upon her changed
her into a half human. It was supposed to have turned her demonic side altogether, but she just
didn't have the humanity in her to be a human. She is immortal, though she will not tell anyone
just exactly how old she is. She works for a group called the pussycat angels; a sexy dance
group that specialises in burlesque dance routines. When she is not working, she can be employed
as an assassin, as she specialises in stealth killings. She has a unique fighting style that
ninja's have tried to copy for centuries, though she sometimes uses dark chi.
Her mortal ally is the raven, and her feathered friends are happy to help her whenever she calls.
Sometimes though, she will just kill and cause destruction for the fun of it!
Anyway's there's the char, now for the story!
Danu slipped behind the heavy, red velvet curtain as the stage lights dimmed. The crowd had been great tonight, though the pussycat angels always had a full audience.
She changed out of fishnets and corsets, and slipped into something a little less comfortable- a figgure hugging dress.
She waved good night to her dance mates, and headed down the stone steps into the dark night. She almost hoped a theif would jump her, it had been too long since she had made her last good kill, and employment had been low recently.
There was a good tavern down the street that she often frequented, and would do so tonight.
The moon was high in the night sky, and her heels echoed off the cobbled stones. She had a slight sense of de'ja'vou, but that wasn't really unusuall. She had, afterall, walked down streets like this, and nights like this, for centuries.
The bar was just beggining to fill when she entered, and she recieved a few
whistles as she sashayed past some men and up to the bar.

#2Name: Daru
Age: 19
Height: 5'11
Weight:198 lbs
gender: Male
Specie: Human
Specialties: Psychic abilitys,axe skills
Daru goes by his only known name, his parents were killed by a demon as a child of 4, he lived on his own with his two 1 and a half foot axes and his psychic powers. He has vowed to kill any demon he finds, good or evil, full demon or half. He searches for the demon that killed his family on his dragon and kills all demons on the way. His dragon is 20 feet long and pure white, whenever Daru is in trouble, he backs him up.
---------
Daru sensed a demon in the area and was journeying to find it. "There, at that tavern." and instantly his dragon swooped down and they were there. "I'll go inside" he said as entering the tavern. He looked around trying to find the demon, and getting ready to pull out his axe. -
After the dance
#3Danu felt a chill run up her spine, the way it always did when something that could put her in danger was behind her. She turned slowly, her eyes scanning the room suspiciously. Everything seemed normal. People drinking in the alcoves, a small tussle breaking out down the bar over some whore. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Then someone walked in though the doors and alarm bells began to ring in her head. All of her demon senses were telling her that this child was trouble.
Making sure not to bring any attention to herself, she made her way down towrds the washrooms, all the time hugging the shadows of the wall. She slipped through the door with a rough
FEeMale
scratched into the already flaking wood.
The foul smell of excretion assulted her hightened sense of smell and caused her to gag.
A window just large enough for her to climb out of (and she'd done it plenty of times to know) was closed on the furtherst wall. She rammed it open and squeezed her form though, her red dress ripping in the process.
Outside the night breeze hit her and she shuddered happilly for she prefered the cold. Around the corner she though to peace, only to find a white dragon waiting in the square. It hadn't noticed her yet. She turned to walk the other way... -
After the dance
#4The dragon took a small sniff, then a larger one and abrubtly turned toward Danu and howled a horrible howl that cut the night air. Inside, Daru heard the howl and emidiatly ran to the door, pushed it open and drew his axes. The moment he saw Danu he took after her, his dragon right behind... -
After the dance
#5Danu growled angrily. She could fight the human, but with a dragon on her tail too, she knew she would have a problem. Danu looked around for the nearest pot hole and thanked her luck that there was one just too her right. She veered sharply away, into the thick shadows of the night, hoping that she had been able to throw her persuers off guard for the brief moment she needed to get underground. It wasn't hard to remove the metal covering, afterall-she was half demon!
The footsteps were moving closer, and not wasting time, she crawled into the hole, down into the murky sewer below...where the dragon would not be able to help its master... -
After the dance
#6Using his telpathic powers, Daru throws the cover aside with his mind. "If I get into trouble, I'll yell, then you know what to do." Daru said as he slipped down into the hole. The dragon nodded in understanding. Daru took out his axes, ready for anything... -
After the dance
#7Danu turned now. She wasn't about to flee from a lone human with an axe or two. She's been killing for centuries and some boy wasn't about to scare her into running- not in these heels anyway! She looked mournefuuly down at her ripped dress, knowing that if she changed her form, the dress would be lost to her...and this was one of her favourites... He would pay!
"Come then, little boy," she taunted, "I shall make a new dress, from your worthless hide. And then I shall use your lizard to make a handbag!"
Her dress ripped up the seams as her muscles bulked and bones popped. Her skin changed from a soft ivory hue to a deep shade of blue black, with deepest blood red running in stripes up her arms like the stripes of a wild cat. Her eyes flashed from summer green eyes, to piercing molten flames, pupils slit like a predators. Teeth grew into elongated fangs, and nails sharpened into wicked claws. From above the hollow of her back, wings grew, feathered like an angel, black like her demons soul.
"Come," she growled, "come meet your doom in these dark sewers tonight." -
After the dance
#8"They can never do it the easy way...Oh well." As he walked toward her objects all around him started to hover around him. Tapping into his telekinesis everything he passed started to hover around him, and his hazel eyes chandged to a cold icey blue with the entire eyes this color. "I'm afraid it will be you meeting your doom in these sewers." -
After the dance
#9She laughed at this. A whelp with a few axes was procalimer her doom. He probably thought he was the first to come after her with telekinesis, thought that he held some kind of advantage over her.
Well he was wrong.
A downward stroke from Danu's wings took her up into the air, making no more noise than a whisp of passing air. She kept close to the ceiling, passing above his head. She was certain he hadn't seen her. How could he? She was master of the shadows, master of stealth.
She landed silently behind Daru, and with a blindingly fast swipe, made to slash him across the back of his neck.
One thing the boy should have realised- when fighting a demon, make sure she's not faster than a set of axes, and she's not an adept at killing hunters like himself! -
After the dance
#10Daru sensed the movement at used the debris to form a wall between him and Danu."Do you really think it's that easy?" He said, smiling as he turned to her. With that he swung both of his axes downward at her head, the wall parting to let him through. -
After the dance
#11Danu dodged faster than he could swing, his axe blade just catching the tips of her thick hair. She misjudged him, but the same mistake would not be made again. "How long have you been fighting, child? Your blows are so easily predicable. If you leave now I will not come after you. If you don't," she shrugged, "I will tear your telekinetic powers from your nose with the end of your own axe. What would you prefer?" -
After the dance
#12"I've been fighting for thirteen years." In the blink of an eye all the floating debris lifted up and rained down on all of the that area of the sewer."I'm not your ordanary psychic!" he yelled with a laugh. -

#13Name: Ravin
Age: Unknown
Height: 5"11
Weight: Unknown
Gender: Male
Species: Vampire/Fallen Angel
Specialties: Hand-to-hand (and weapons) Combat, Counter-attacks, multiple Enemies, Enchanting, and a few (psychic?) abilities that originate from the amulet he wears.
Ravin's true name is never used. The word "Ravin" means outcast in a forgotten tounge. He has a lot of strengths and a lot of weaknesses. he has been alive for millennia. He wears a cloak and a cape of solid black.
Ravin hires himself out as a mercinary agent to anybody who will pay his price. he is not cheap.
---------------------------
"Enough!" echoes a voice from somewhere in the tunnel. "If you two wish to kill each other, you will do it outside of the city limits". -
After the dance
#14Daru turned to this challenging voice. "Leave this to us!" -
After the dance
#15"I have been charged with keeping the peace here" the voice echoes through the tunnel. "Fight if you want, boy, but you will not do so here for long. I will not ask you again" -
After the dance
#16"Do you want to end up dead?" Daru asked with amusment. -
After the dance
#17The echos in the tunnel made the voice impossible to pinpoint. "Fool! I have survived greater than you Boy! Do not overestimate yourself. If you wish to fight me, it will not end for the better." -
After the dance
#18Daru laughed at this. "Now!" he yelled and quickly covered himself with a psychic shield. At the surface, his dragon stuck his snout in the manhole and blew hard. Fire instantly flooded the sewer. -
After the dance
#19The entire Tunnel fills with light from the great blast of fire. Ravin is clearly seen a good ten yards down the tunnel standing slightly off to the side. In an instant, he reacts, wrapping his cape around him and lifts off of the ground. afterwards, smoke and the heavy stench of charred brick fills the air. The air however is no longer available, and the last breath of air is now very scarce. (anybody who actually breathes oxygen will need to get out of the tunnel, or produce some oxygen to breath some other way).
The sound of shattering glass can be heard from next to Daru's feet. suddenly a high pitched sound filles the air. (not only is it impossible to hear movement, but the sound will cause migraines to anybody who is not resistant to sound, or who does not cover their ears)
OOC: just so you know, i am not making anything up as i go. all equiptment and abilities used are pre-set by myself before i introduced the character to you guys. -
After the dance
#20The shield covering Daru had kept in enough oxygen to breath and was resistant to the sound. Daru looks up at his surroundings and wonders where that demon girl went. -
After the dance
#21The sound continues to whine on in its high pitched squeel making all hearing impossible. Ravin, unseen by light, and unheard by sound launches himself towards Daru with a Katanna drawn and pointed towards Daru at an intense speed. -
After the dance
#22Daru senses no danger for he is inside an almost unbreakable psychic shield. -
After the dance
#23On approach, Ravin shifts to the side and cuts sideways. Daru notices that the blade of the sword, although not strong enough to break the psychic shield, is enchanted in such a way that would allow it to cut through any kind of armor with incredible ease. a second later, another glass vial breaks, and a psychic leach attaches itself onto Daru's shield -
After the dance
#24The dragon senses his master is in danger and starts to tear apart the street to get to him. -
After the dance
#25Ravin, seeing the dragon, throws a poison gas potion at the roof right next to the creature. it explodes sending poisonous (and very painful if it get in your eyes or if it is breathed) in a good ten yards in both direction, enveloping the face of the dragon as well as the now oxygen-less tunnel -
After the dance
#26Frustrated with anger and pain, the dragon sends fireball after fireball plumeting into the tunnel. -
After the dance
#27However, with the oxygen gone from the tunnel, the fireball barely reaches the ground, and fails to flame out to the sides to engulf Ravin who is watching the psychic leach start to take permanent residence in Daru's mind. Ravin pulls out two shurikens and without throwing them, starts slashing at the shield daru put up. again, these shurikens would easily slice through any normal armor, and the more energy diverted towards the shield, the quicker the leach will burrow into a permanant residence. (only by ceasing psychic abilities for a minute or so will you be able to loose the ethereal creature, although if you wait too long, you will pretty much be stuck with it...or, well there is another way. I might suggest a tactical retreat at this point) to make matters worse for Daru, the air inside his psychic bubble would have to be running out soon. -
After the dance
#28Daru senses this leech and lets his psychic shield down. Unfortunatly for Ravin, the dragon had recovered from the attack and finished breaking into the tunnel, now since the sky can be seen above from the gaping hole, fresh air filled with oxygen floods down into the tunnel. Two puffs of smoke steam against Ravin's back because the dragon was right behind him. -
After the dance
#29From the shadows further down the tunnel, Danu smiled, trying her hardest not to laugh. She had left the vincity when the white snout had poked itself through the manhole for she had no desire to fight three foes without her full strength. But now it seemed her enemies would finish eachother and she could finish up if any of them were left standing.
How puny and arrogant humans were, she thought sourly. They lived for not even a century, and yet they thought thmselves all powerful and supirior.
She wasn't sure if she liked the hybrid either, but at leaast she could sympathise with him. She too was now a halfling, though it had been a curse put upon her that made her half human.
Silently she moved further from the battle, and changed back into human form. In this form at least, she may have one advantage. She was as nude as a newborn babe, and any male would be hard pressed not to sympathise with a sobbing female in the deep dark sewers. -
After the dance
#30Several disadvantages were now presenting themselves. for starters, air was now mixing with the poison gas that had once filled the vicinity. second, the light from the night, however faint it might be, rendered his night-vision less effective, although the light level was still low enough to give him the advantage. third, and most importantly, there was a dragon almost directly behind him, and while the gas might still hold him from sticking his snout too far into the area, he would still have his fireball attack.
thank the Gods (or whatever forces Ravin was not a firm believer in) that the dragon here was not like one of old. Truly that would have been a feat. Larger, faster, stronger, more agile, and too often capable of possesing magic. Ravin himself had in his life only defeated two, although truth be told, there were few beings in all of history who could have called themselves a true dragon lord (somebody who speaks with dragons and lives to tell the tale) and even less who could claim dominance.
on the other hand, dragons in old would have never allowed any being, no less a human, to ride them. that had been unheard of even a mere thousand years ago. but the humans had wiped out all the real dragons in a standard genocidal purge which Ravin had seen again and again over numerous races, including the one in which Ravin shared his backround.
Yes times had changed, but back to bussiness. unfortunately, Ravin could not afford to stay very long in the area. the dragon's ability to do area damage was just too threatening. a hundred men fighting him, well that he could handle, but a fireball was not something he could take lightly, even with his defenses.
hopefully the demon would provide a usefulness. if nothing else, she was not attacking. that meant that the human was the instigator of this battle, as they often were. if Ravin killed the human, than his job was done. the girl, would have no reason to pursue a battle. and that, of course, was why Ravin had been hired. to keep the peace.
the area was too dangerous at the moment. even though the boy would have his shield down, he might have a fire protection without the psychic shield. Ravin threw the two shurikens at the boy and kicked off, flying backwards down the tunnel, away from both the boy and the dragon, taking him directly towards the demon, who Ravin was by no means unaware of. atleast the boy would have to dodge those shurikens old-school this time, and the poison gas would not only blind him, but also make the boy unable to breath. he could not risk another second with the psychic leach, which was only now starting to loose its hold.
"Damn!" he exclaimed at the lost opportunity. Without that dragons threatening blow lingering behind, that boy would be dead right now. -
After the dance
#31Danu curled her legs under her when she heard the sound of someone approaching. It would do her no good to run, and changing back into a demon would just sap more of her depleting energy.
Her long, dark chestnut hair fell around her face, and she looked up with wet green eyes. "I've done nothing wrong," She sobbed. It was true, she hadn't. It was the human that had initiated the fight, not her. She was tired, and though she may have wanted a fight earlier, she didn't now. -
After the dance
#32Daru quickly ducked as the shurikens flew over his head."As soon as this leech is off of me..." The dragon looked at Daru as if asking for an order."Shoot fireballs after them!" Daru barked. And with that thirteen fireballs started plumeting down the tunnel. -
After the dance
#33While deflecting the shurikens, Daru's axes were sliced in half by the weapons. they now lied imbedded in stone with less than half of each shuriken sticking out of the tunnel wall. still, this would have to be a fight for another day. Ravin could not fight a dragon in closed quarters. as he approached the demon at over 40 mph in mid flight, his hand grabbed her around the torso and he broke the glass vial contained in his other hand.
suddenly both him and the naked woman were miles outside the city, in the woods, still moving at a good 40 mph. Ravin used a tree to stop himself and dropped the girl on the ground. as he did, Danu noticed that his hand was cold, very cold. his hand could not have been more than 40 degrees in temperature.
He pulled the hood of his cloak back over his head, once again hiding his pure white skin.
"Now you may have your fight, assasin". he said, and started walking away... -
After the dance
#34"Were did they go!" yelled Daru, his voice echoing in the now empty tunnel. He quickly scanned the area and still saw nothing. "They must of transported out of here......." -
After the dance
#35there was a post here. now its gone. -

#36Name: unknown
Age: 23
Height: 5'7
Weight: 102
Location: edge of the city limits
Specie: Necromancer
Specialities: Necromantics, possesion
A necromancer who wears a specific item that allows his soul to reposses any living being of weak willpower even after he has been defeated. he also has the ability to posses any dead being. he walks around with two possesed great-wariors as well as about ten undead or posessed warriors at all times. he often changes his name, however, he is currently going by the name Asheel
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Asheel stood outside the city looking down. Yes, this would be a good place to start. He would start with the city officials. Always start with the high ranking political officials in order to avoid any attention and hero types. The last heroes he encountered had managed to defeat him. As long as he evaded anybody too powerful, he would be just fine. He continued to watch the city lights below.
Suddenly he sensed a presence. Not exactly nearby, but near enough. Actually it was two. Both souls were very old, and both souls were very strong. Hopefully he would not encounter either of them. He and his small escort walked towards the city and hoped that neither of the two souls would be returning to the city... -
After the dance
#37Daru looked around the tunel for any sign of were they could have gone. "Nothing," he said as he mounted on his dragon. "time to patrol to see if they are anywhere." And they flew up into the sky casting a dark shadow and the ground below.
OOC: What two souls are you talking about? Any of our characters? -
After the dance
#38OOC: the two souls are Ravin and Danu
Asheel stopped. Not another two. With flying? Both? No. One soul was directly over the other. A rider, and something big. A dragon perhaps? Maybe. This might have been the wrong city to go to. Both of these souls were strong, although the rider was clearly young, he was not weak. Now there were four possible foes. Four foes too many.
Asheel knelt down into the grass and started to prepare his things. This could turn ugly at any time, and Asheel was not one to be caught off gaurd. -
After the dance
#39Ravin floated barely above the tree-line. As predicted, there was the dragon-rider crcling his way above the city. Good. This fight would be settled outside of this city, And Ravin would earn his bounty. All he had to do is let the Demon and the boy fight each-other. Whoever won, it would make no difference. Ravin floated back below the tree-line. He stood for only a second before preparing to head back into the city. He would not fly above the trees as usual. Best not to be spotted by the demon-slayer. Instead he would head back under tree-cover. Ravin prepared himself to take-off. He had to re-arm himself, not to mention getting back his Shurikens which should still be imbedded inside the tunnel. If some idiot happened to pick them up, they could easily be sold for a mansion or two. that would definately be annoying. -
After the dance
#40Flying higher still, Daru noticed the assembly of people looking down on the city. "Better check this out," said Daru and the started toward Asheel, picking up speed as they went.
