  1. Make a character for a village.

I have decided to try out creating a small village that is made by whoever wants to submit. All you have to do is create a NPC(no stats needed) that has a job. He could work anywhere in this village.

    Example.
    Male, Human, Tavern owner.
    Name: Pudge
Pudge is a shorter fellow than most the folk of the village but he is well known for his stories of his grand adventures. He now owns the local tavern and serves some of the most famous mead in all the land. His past is a mysterie except for the stories. He is quite plump and is known for the small bald spot on his head. Pudge is very friendly to the locals but is quite defensive of outsiders "diturbing the village". All and all Pudge is a very friendly and informative man.

Any. That was kind of an example of the type of Npc's that I'm searching for so that I can create a small village full of them.
    Please submit your ideas.

    Male, Canine, Vagrant
    Name: 'Damn Mutt'

'Mutt' is a dog that runs loose through the village, a freind to all with food scraps and a servant to none. 'Mutt' is not of any noticible breed, with features of terrier and spainiel in the frame of a good bird dog, but no evidence of wolf or other 'wild' dog can be seen. 'Mutt' has soft brown, inteligent eyes and dirty grey brown hair and mange, leaving spots in his coat, but is otherwise healthy.

'Mutt' is a canny dog, able to react to spoken communication as if he understood it, but can also see if people mean it harm. Groups of ill mannered children seeking to hit him with a stick for laughs have given 'Mutt' enough smarts to know when words fail to match up with the glint in the eyes.

'Mutt' will not attack, and is never hungry, and if threatened, will run off out of physical range, and seek food elsewhere if repeatedly threatened.

    Male, Human, Boy
    Name: "Little Joey"

What would a village be without the Little Joey? The boy that was everywhere, and has seen and heard everything, and is ready to help adventurers for a few golds. Or at least silvers. Or coppers if it has to be, but don't expect too much then.

    Male, human, drunk/insane
    name: Uncle jimmy

Uncle jimmy is the town old man. He lives by himself in his shak at the top of the hill. He spends his time by yelling at little children. He claims to know everything. The people around him say that hes either a drunk, or an insane...guy.

    Female, human
    Name: Neeree

The whole town whispers about Neeree. She is the town's own "run-around Sue". Some say that the reason she works at the village inn is so that she can seduce travelers. After all, she has already done it with all the townsmen.

    Name: Big Ed
    Male

Big Ed is the son of the village's unmarried woman, he is pretty slow but always has a kind heart. Big Ed stands taller than anymone and is stronger than the biggest farm hands.

    Framont the carpenter

Framont is a calm, some think simple-minded man of average build. Making this or that piece of furniture, or helping to build a house, he works in a relaxed way, often humming or whistling to himself. He has a dislike for splinters, and conversely, likes smooth surfaces, so you can expect to find him above the last piece, checking it one more time if it is perfectly smooth. Locals know that a bit of admiring of his good work makes him blush and deny, but also make the price lower.

    ---

We have a carpenter, but the village could surely need a smith. Anyone interested to make one?

Is a family alright? It would be strange to have a whole village full of loners.

    the Weavers
The family has been inhabiting Weaver's cottage by the hillside for many years now and no one remembers where they came from, but they still have some sort of an outsider aura around them. The man is called Pheler, his woman Nancy. They get their income from supplying fabric to the local tailor and the travelling merchants that come by a few times a year. Some kids there are too, but no one has bothered to count them. Skinny, fair-haired, wide-eyed and reticent, just like their mommy. If anyone tried to approach the house, they are sure to scurry inside like mice and stare you from behind the curtains. It's always Pheler that comes to the door, otherwise it stays locked. He's a stern-looking fellow with wide shoulders and a straight bearing. You rarely see him in the village, since Nancy does most of the shopping. Best time to spot Pheler is on the winter, during the most freezing days when he comes to the tavern to down a few pints to warm himself up. Getting drunk doesn't loosen his tongue, mostly he walks back home early but if people (travellers mostly) happen to buy him drinks, he tends to get tetchy and has been known to knock out some big-mouths that don't know what's good for them. There are whispers that he might be as hard on his wife too, but since no one has seen any bigger bruises on her, they think it's best not to intervene.

    Erben, the farmer

Long, thin and impatient, Erben is always looking for inventions and new ways to improve harvest. Ida, his wife has given up trying to calm him down and cares for the three chilldren, mercifully overlooking the chaos he often produces.

Others consider him a harmless weird guy, good for a laugh - but some of those things might turn out useful. Despite the occasional accidents, he manages to have a slightly above average harvest. No significant breakthrough happened until now.

Next: the village could need a smith, or a minor priest. Or another commoner family perhaps? Who wants to make one?

    How about both at once?

    Kaleill
Acting in a combined capacity as both blacksmith and priest, Kaleill doesn't really do either very well. His sect is not one that most of the village follows, and his semi-functional left hand (due to an accident as a youth) limits his smithing abilities. Kaleill is polite, quiet, and generally friendly, but is easily offended by disparaging remarks about either his faith or his metalworking.
