The Garden of the Understar
The beautiful garden underground in which the Understar and her 9 Monsters are imprisoned.
Deep underground, past labrynthine tunnels full of powerful monsters and magical wards, there is a massive iron gate, in the Eastern style, made of red-painted iron chill to the touch. Two large metal rings are placed on the gate's twin doors at a height appropriate for a very tall human, possibly eight feet.
If one is able to open these doors, one is greeted with a breathtaking sight: A beautiful underground garden. Its paths are immaculate, made from carefully placed natural stones in the grass. Blooming flower gardens stretch off into the distance, slender and flawless trees overhang, and the roof of the cavern is lost in darkness. Many paths branch out through different sections of the garden, some of which are like forests, others like small lakes, some like zen rock gardens. No two locations in the Garden are alike.
After travelling along the main path for about a mile, perhaps resting at one of many small stone shrines and benches, one may come to a small, arrow-straight brook crossed by a single red-painted wooden footbridge. This leads to a low, Eastern-style roofed building surrounded by a square of zen rock and sand garden, with a single large door. Within, there is the personal garden-chamber of the Understar. It is a miniature version of the verdancy outside, complete with a small pond, flowers, trees, and a low gazebo-platform on which there is a divan-bed for the Understar to sleep on, and a short foot table upon which food and drink appear when desired. A stone bench by the pond allows the Understar to contemplate it while perhaps playing upon her harp.
All sections of the Garden have shishi dog statues placed at auspicious locations to watch over the Garden. All paths are lit by short stone lanterns that burn with pastel colors.
The Understar often walks through her Garden and composes haikus. However, it is always night in the Garden, due to its underground location, and she longs to see the sky once more.

Wait a minute. How are there plants underground? There is no light underground. Thus photosynthesis couldn't take place, thus the plants would be dead. But if they are magic plants, then that wouldn't be a problem.
Large Crystal formation in the ceiling magically provides a sunlight like light for the plants.
Some extra linefeeds between paragraphys would be nice.
I would just assume it is a magic prison, and the plants are eternal, perhaps drawing their energy from something or someone nearby.
