   Sublime Text 2

I am absolutely in love with it.

Fast as the devil, easy browsing/switching of files, has ftp plugin, minimalized work area, incredible easy plugin downloading....

   ...above all, it is beautiful!

Greatest editor in the history of the world.

Loaded up linux...again. Pinguy this time and it is working great. I just get in that linux mood and have to try and make the move again. Because I am not doing many graphics anymore, there is no reason to stay in windows so I think I will stick with it a bit this time. Biggest hurdle usually is I like to have 3 monitors. I sacrificed one to make this work. I don't have the patience to fight it to make it work Third is usually for my music interface anyway so that can just go on another desktop now and I can flip to it if I need it.

Step two was slapping Sublime Text on it and now I am in the zone and ready to start playing again. Half the fun is searching for plugins too. :) One of my hobbies I guess.

   I am such a slut.

New favorite (mostly because it is shiny but has some super cool features) is adobe's brackets.

Been having motivation issues lately so decided to try a new toy, which usually cheers me up.

Thought it would be halfass and not as polished as sublime......but now......sublime looks like it has been languishing. Inline CSS editing through a pop-up style editing block of the chosen css. Awesome! Has everything else I love about sublime to include code overview and multiple cursors. Oh, plus live autoupdating chrome browser view without having to install grunt or other type watchers. Themes are awesome too. Lots of extensions.

Love it. Getting back into the working groove.

So many choices! That fell off my radar and totally forgot about it.

Queued for next slump. For now sticking with brackets just because it is already setup and ready to give it a real try.

Thanks for pointing me to this one AG!!

Tell me how you like Brackets after having used it for a while.

As I understand it, Adobe just spent quite some time upgrading it.

But it IS Adobe, which may mean bloat.

Great recommendation. You can also extend it with one of these plugins https://pluginsforpinegrow.com/

I never did get around to trying that one but it does look fantastic. I was using brackets pretty regular and am back with sublime again currently. Nothing beats the speed of sublime!
